The Supreme Court announced on Monday that it would consider whether partisan gerrymandering violates the Constitution, potentially setting the stage for a ruling that could for the first time impose limits on a practice that has helped define American politics since the early days of the Republic.

1.Partisan党派的

2.Gerrymander

3.Violate 违反

4.Potentially

5.Set the stage

6.Ruling〔

7.Impose

8.Define 定义;

The Supreme Court announced that it would consider…

1.on Monday

2.whether partisan gerrymandering violates the Constitution

3.potentially setting the stage for a ruling…

=which potentially sets the stage for a ruling

4.that could for the first time impose limits on a practice

that= a ruling

5.=that has helped define American politics

that=a practice

6.since the early days of the Republic

D) he expresses his view of the public’s attitude on self-driving

Wilson and colleagues hope to prove their test, which will be more widely available this summer for about $2,400, can be an efficient and reliable solution for the sorts of medical mysteries that befuddle doctors, aggravate patients and can run up huge medical bills.
